Reason #3/3 – I Fell in Love with Natural Medicine and the People that use it.
The more I found out about natural medicine, the more I loved it. So many options for treatment! Such a wonderful and holistic philosophy! When the naturopaths first got their regulations in this province, I was invited as the College president to speak to the council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
They gave me hours to tell them about Naturopathic Medicine. And you know what happened? Several of the docs in the room expressed their desire to do more of the things that I knew how to do and to have the kind of patients I have -- I have patients who take the time to educate themselves, and who participate in their own care by taking responsibility for what they need to do to get well.
I’m still in love with what I do 20 years later!
